Sunday is picnic time!
Tessa, Leo's mum, is organising a family day out for the Grade One Neighbourhood.
It's this Sunday, May 4th at Royal Park Wetlands. Sounds like it will be lots of fun in gorgeous surrounds. Hope you can all make it!
Tessa has outlined the details below.
Thanks,
Anna (1LZ Parent Rep)
To get into nature and celebrate Play Outside Day, we're organising a PHPS grade one family picnic and play at Royal Park Wetlands in Parkville.
Sunday 4 May, from 2-4pm
At Trin Warren Tam-Boore Waterhole - Royal Park Wetlands
Just near the corner Oak Street and Galada Avenue, Parkville
Please bring a rug and a plate of afternoon tea to share.
We'll meet at the Trin Warren Tan-Boore Bellbird Waterhole, near the corner of Oak Street and Galada Avenue. There's lots of parking and it's not far from the Capital City bike path.
The wetlands are a beautiful hidden spot on the west side of Royal Park with boardwalks, a timber hide for bird watching, grass for kicking footballs, secret paths to follow and white skink habitat to explore.
Play Outside Day is being organised by the Australian Conservation Foundation to encourage people to reconnect with nature and each other: http://www.action.org.au/play-outside
